Yella, born Daniela Lopez, is an internationally celebrated artist from Salt Lake City, Utah. Like most creatives, Yella’s passion for the arts began as early as she could pick up a pencil. Her creative drive kept her immersed in the arts all the way up to her college years. After spending time in Los Angeles studying fashion design, Yella eventually returned to her hometown of Salt Lake City determined to pursue her biggest passion of all: artistry.
Her infatuation with mediums such as pencils, pastels & paints- combined with her obsession of facial features- ultimately led her to the idyllic career path.
If Yella is not primping a canvas, she is primping a face. Today, she balances her multi-faceted career as an artist/painter, while also professionally representing the global brand Chanel as a freelance makeup artist.
Yella’s work has twice been showcased in New York City’s Soho Fashion District. Among the many celebrating her work, Yella’s collectors and clients have included high profile athletes, musicians and the Houston Rockets NBA franchise.
Who is Yella?
The nickname was given by her mother as a child and has been used by those closest to her ever since. As she works, Daniela feels so close to each piece, that it only feels right to sign & seal them as such.
